Jets collect food donations along with a 6th straight win heading to the holiday break

Friday night was a successful night for the Strathroy Jets on a couple of different fronts. On the ice the Jets won their 6th in a row thanks to a 9-1 win over Woodstock in the front half of a home and home with the Lakers. Secondly, the Jets with a huge assist from their fans were able to collect a large amount of much needed non-perishables for the Cram-A-Cruiser campaign, an initiative run by the Strathroy-Caradoc Police.

Strathroy on the strength of two shorthanded goals outshot Woodstock 44-18, and were led by a trio of former London Knights combining for nine points. Rob Schremp recorded a hat trick, Brandon Prust two goals and an assist, and Stephen Sanza with a goal and two helpers. In addition, Justin McIntyre and Chris McGuffin had two assists each.

Strathroy is 8-1-1 in their last 10 and head to Woodstock for the back end of the home and home December 27th, before hosting their first game of the new year January 2nd versus the Orangeville Blitz.

The entire Strathroy Jets organization wish all of their fans and the community a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
