Jets Raise $30,960 for Strathroy!

In just 10 home games, the Strathroy Jets family helped raise and donate an incredible $30,960 to local families and organizations. Here is a recap of what we were able to accomplish together with our fans for the town of Strathroy.

This marks our 4th straight year supporting this cause, bringing our total to $30,288 donated to Community over Cancer. We were also proud to lead the push in our league to ensure funds stayed local, so our own community truly benefits.

We were honoured to support Archie Leitch as he battles cancer, and the family of Dylan Janes, specifically his two daughters, during an unimaginably difficult time. This is what community hockey is all about.

Thanks to Hot Dog Night, fans helped us give back in more ways than one. The Lion’s are an organization constantly giving back to our community and we look forward to volunteering with them for the second year in a row at this year’s Strathroy Canada Day celebration in June.

With the help of Kevin Kingma, we supported a cause that hits close to home, and also contributed through Kevin’s CMHA golf tournament this summer. Mental health matters in our dressing room and in our town.

From Strathroy Jr. Jets jerseys to direct funding, plus including minor hockey in events like the Christmas parade and giving U18 grads a special day on our LED video board — we’re committed to building more than just players. We will continue to invest in the future of Strathroy’s youth athletes.

Donations of food and gifts went to families who need it most during the holidays. This is a cause we’ve supported since day one and will continue to stand behind.

This team only plays a handful of games… but together, our fans, sponsors, volunteers, and players create something much bigger than hockey.
